Well a couple of years ago my mother during Christmas gave all of the smokers in the family a gift....
But first more background on the story. We were all smokers in my family. Almost everyone in the household. Plus all of my friends and many co-workers. This was during the 90's were we kinda knew it was bad so we set goals on which we would stop. Not my mother though. She never bought into the whole tobacco cigarettes were bad campaign. An added spark to the flame was my my grandfather (her dad) died of bone cancer. She would say the man never smoked a cigarette in his life.
Well needless to say I myself began smoking at around 16. The (buzz) I got felt great and lasted from the mall parking lot to the bowling alley which was about a 3 block walk. Of course like most drugs you never get that same buzz ever again and that did not stop my smoking. I would throw out the cigs from my window to the gutter below.
One day my mother happened to look out my window and notice the dozens of butts in the gutter. When asked I said it was my friends that did it. Looking back now I realize she knew I was lying but she was a 20 year smoker herself at the time.
Now back to Christmas. So I go over and we exchange gifts and words and she says that she had not smoked an cigarette in months. No way I said and also how? Then she pulls out some metal painted device and said she received it over the internet. Of course I looked it up and was surprised that it contained just nicotine and you could not smell it. All of our gifts that year were those e cigs. So I tried it out and it really did make your cravings go down. Now the only bad thing is that the levels of nicotine in ecigs seem to grow. If you are trying to stop these will help but just using them as a substitute forever is not the way.
I will say this though I do not use my ecig NO WAY NEAR as much as I did the old tobacco heavily chemical treated cigarettes. Their is also no more order or burned holes in my clothes and furniture.
